UNLUCKY NUMBERS

TODAY IS FRIDAY THE 17TH - In Italy a day thought to be unlucky because rearranging the Roman numeral XVII can create the word "VIXI" translated from Latin to mean "my life is over."

Oggi è Venerdì 17, in Italia un giorno creduto sfortunato perché riordinando XVII numero romano si può creare la parola "VIXI" che in latino significa "la mia vita è finita."

In other countries, different numbers are thought to be just as unlucky.

In altri paesi numeri diversi si pensa siano altrettanto sfortunati. 

THE NUMBER 3 - In Vietnam, Japan there is a popular superstition that if a photo was taken with 3 people, it is likely that the middle person will die.

THE NUMBER 4 – This number is bad luck in the far east. The pronunciation of the number four in Japanese is very similar to the word death, and because of this, four has been considered bad luck in Japan, Korea and China. It is considered very bad luck to give a gift that is made up of four pieces to someone. Many buildings do not have a fourth floor.

Questo numero porta sfortuna in Estremo Oriente. La pronuncia del numero quattro in giapponese è molto simile alla parola "morte" e per questo, quattro è considerato sfortunato in Giappone, Corea e Cina. Porta molta sfortuna dare a qualcuno un regalo che si compone di quattro pezzi. Molti edifici non hanno un quarto piano. 

THE NUMBER 7 - In China, Vietnam, Thailand, or any country with Chinese influences July or “the seventh month” is the month of ghosts, and corresponds to the return of the souls of the dead on the earth.

THE NUMBER 8 - This number  is associated with Saturn (called Sani in Hindi) in ancient Indian numerology. People are afraid of Shani because Shani  brings sorrow, pains, miseries and losses.

THE NUMBER 9 - The pronunciation of the number nine  in Japanese is very similar to the words pain, suffering, and because of this, nine has been considered bad luck in Japan.

The origin of the fear of the number 13 is unknown. The famous painting of the Last Supper shows Judas, the one who betrayed Jesus, as the 13th person at the table from left to right. The number 13 is also connected to the lunar cycle as there are 13 full moons in a single year. The full moon is believed to negatively affect the sanity and emotions of people. Friday the 13th is one of the most well-known cultural superstitions and is associated with the massacre of the Knights Templar on Friday the 13th in 1307. The number 13 is even considered to be unlucky in Persian culture.

La paura del numero 13 è così comune nella cultura occidentale che la fobia ha un proprio nome - triscaidecafobia. THE NUMBER 26 - In India this is an unlucky number: the earthquake Gurjat occurred Jan. 26, 2001, the tragic 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that killed 230,000 people on December 26. Then there are the bombs exploded in Guwahati on May 26 in 2007 and the terrorist attacks in Mumbai of 26 November 2008.

THE NUMBER 250 - In China, the number 250 is considered an insult. It depends on the pronunciation in Mandarin: "er bai wu," sounds like "stupid". But 250 is also a quarter of 1000, standard measure that in ancient China was used to indicate to something of value (in money). So 250 would indicate something of little value.

In Cina, il numero 250 è considerato un insulto. Dipende dalla pronuncia in mandarino: "er bai wu," suona come "imbecille ". The number 666 – Six hundred and sixty-six is an interesting number. As everyone knows, according to the Christian bible, 666 is the number of the beast and is synonymous with Satan. 666 might actually be the most avoided number in Western culture.

The Bulgarian mobile phone company Mobitel has suspended the phone number 0888 888 888 after three people had this number have died in just 10 years. The first was Vladimir Grashnov, the former CEO of the company, the number was subsequently given to the druglord Konstantin Dimitrov, who was killed in Holland, and finally to his friend: the drug trafficker, Konstantin Dishliev, assassinated in 2005 .

La società di telefonia mobile bulgara Mobitel ha sospeso il numero di telefono 0888 888 888 dopo che tre persone che avevano questo numero sono morte in soli 10 anni.
