John Spencer lives in a village but he works in a big town 30 miles away from his house. In the morning he gets up at 6.30, he has breakfast with his wife and children and then he leaves for his office.
In winter he generally goes to work by train but in spring and summer he drives. He never goes back home for lunch. He works about 10 hours a day and he is always very busy. When he returns home at about 8 p.m., he sits at table and he has dinner. He seldom speaks to his wife and children because he is very tired.
After dinner he goes into the living-room and he turns the TV on. He doesn’t like TV very much but he watches it because he thinks it is a relaxing pastime.
He goes to bed at about 11.00 o’clock.
